Insight

UNIK allows users to seamlessly switch between work light and ambient light. Work light focuses on a specific area, while ambient light provides diffuse, softer illumination. The design features a sliding mechanism to easily transition between these light types. The lamp includes two U-shaped pieces: a light source and a stable base to keep the lamp secure in various positions.

Design Details

UNIK has two U-shaped lampshades: one made of aluminum and the other of acrylic for diffusing LED light. The connecting parts are crafted from brass to complement the design's texture and color. For stability and smooth operation, the lamp's base is made of 1.5mm thick steel. Additionally, four plastic gaskets are used at the contact points between the aluminum and acrylic to ensure smooth operation.
